To maintain optimum appearance and extend the life of your lashes, follow these tips and easy care instructions

Avoid using harsh manual eyelash curlers, as these will breaken the bond of your natural lash and the synthetic lashes.  A heated eyelash curler may be used on the TIPS only of your lash extensions.

Avoid using any oil based creams, lotions, eye creams on or around the eye area.  Instead, use Xtreme Lashes Eye and Makeup Remover with a lint free applicator to gently remove makeup and natural oils from around the eye.  Do not use cotton swabs, cotton balls, or cotton rounds as these will lodge cotton fibers into your eyelash extensions.

Apply the Xtreme Lashes Protective Coating twice per week to preserve & prolong the look of your lashes. Follow the instructions on the product label for best results.

Although you will not need to use mascara anymore, you may want to apply a little to the TIPS ONLY for special occasions.  Do not use anything but Xtreme Lashes Mascara, as other over the counter brands will not be compatible with the adhesive and you may experience premature lash loss.

The most important tip- be gentle!    Do not pick, pull, or excessively rub at your eyelashes.

When applied and maintained properly, your eyelash extensions can last up to 2 months depending on the natural growth cycle of your eyelashes and how well you maintain them.  The life cycle of an eyelash is 60-90 days.  Lashes will shed naturally at the end of their life cycle and Re-Lashes will be necessary every 2-4 weeks to replace the eyelashes that have shed.

Daily Tips: The most common causes of extensions falling out prematurely  include excessively touching the lashes, use of oil based products, layering on excessive amounts of mascara which requires excessive cleaning, and frequent exposure to heat sources such as spas, saunas, steam rooms and tanning.
